About the Ghost Detective
The Ghost Detective is Michael Worden, a real life police detective who not
only investigates the world of the living, but those who exist in the world of
the dead!
Michael's interest in the paranormal goes back to his childhood and
experiences he had at his grandparent's home. His childhood fascination
with ghosts led him to the world of scientific ghost investigations in 2000
when he began working with noted author and researcher, Linda
Zimmermann.
Working in very small groups, Worden and Zimmermann have investigated a
variety of haunted locations, many of which are explored in the books by
Zimmermann, who is also known as the Ghost Investigator.

| What is Ghost Hunting? Ghost hunting is the use of scientific equipment and investigative techniques to look for proof of ghosts or paranormal activity at haunted locations. Some investigators will use the term ghost investigation when visiting an allegedly haunted location, and the term ghost hunt when they just show up at a location and look for evidence and haunting activity. In addition to scientific instruments such as EMF meters, we use our senses to provide a complete investigation. |

Michael Worden has a background in the field of
exercise physiology and sports medicine, having
studied and worked in the fitness industry for over
ten years before deciding to pursue a life long dream
of being in law enforcement.
Worden has been a police officer for the past eight
years, serving first as a patrol officer, and more
recently being promoted to detective in 2006.
Worden brings a unique background to ghost
hunting. His educational foundation in the sciences
has brought him experience in conducting research
as well as using scientific instruments to measure
various parameters and make conclusions. As a law
enforcement officer he brings investigative know-how
and natural inquisitiveness. His own personal
experiences and belief in the paranormal helps to
round out his skills in conducting ghost hunts.
Worden is the father of twin sons, Ryan and Michael.
He enjoys travelling and has made numerous trips to
Europe where he has become fond of the
Scandinavian Countries, especially Iceland, Sweden,
Norway and Finland.
In addition to his children and travel, Worden spends
his free time relaxing in the sauna or hot tub, home
brewing beer, writing, and hiking in the woods.
